A few weeks before l came on my period, my stomach was cramping pretty badly... and there was this weird odor in ''that area''... something l never dealt with before. It started happening after l had had sex with my then BF. It was pretty embarrassing for me so l did not go to the gyno...l scheduled an appointment, but l chickened out. l thought it may have been BV because there was some discharge... like a milky white color. l thought maybe l could just wait it out and see what happens... But the odor never went away, the cramping did stop. l saw online that some doctors recommend treating BV with Hydrogen peroxide so l tried it,,, It did seem to be working... but soon after l started this ''treatment''... l came on my period which was about 2 days ago. At first it was normal, and the odor was gone. But now i'm bleeding really heavy. There is still no odor but the way the blood is coming out is sort of freaking me out. l stood up from the computer and l felt it gushing out. l ran upstairs to the bathroom and hopped in the bath tub and it just kept gushing out... there were quite a few blood clots mixed in it too....

Back in december l had got my first depo shot and bled 5 months straight.. from january to june.... It stopped and my periods returned back to normal... Could this be some sort of after affect from the depo?

Never be embarassed to discuss things w/ your Gyno. This is definently something that needs a female exam.

Stop being embarrassed and see your doctor.

Just go to the gynecologist they will know whats wrong and if its serious or not.

Could it be a missed miscarriage? Please go to the doctor, there is no need to be embarrassed at all. They are there to help you. Hope everything is ok for you.

l have ''gushes'' too usually on my third day . & sometimes it can be a bit freaky. But, remember if you've been sitting a while, it is all built up in there & can not come out like it would if you'd been standing or walking the entire time, so a gush can be normal. The usual rule of thumb when it comes to periods is that if u r soaking a super pad or tampon in an hour for more than 4 hours, u need to be seen by a doctor. Try to stay calm, getting hyped up will make it worse. Hope things turn out ok for you.

to me it almost sounds like an early miscarriage when you describe the whole.blood.thing. but l do not know anything about its relevance to the depo shot. l would schedule an appointment. they're not going to judge you, but you should really go to the doctor for those types of things.

Stop guessing, and go to the doctor. If you're still scared/embarassed take someone with you like your BF. You will feel way better after to talk to a doctor --she/he can answer your questions and put your mind at ease. Good luck.

That is the thing when u use contraceptives..it throws ur body out of wack..

l am not a doc but l do not think u have anything to worry about..

l naturally have that same experience when l come on & l do not use any contraceptives. l cramp really bad too & gush like u described. Just start using the bedtime, thin always with wings to feel secure. The r still very thin so it is not all bulky in ur pants but they catch everything. Do not worry. Our bodies change..But now since u r active & u had an odor, l would still go to the doc & check that out. Do not be embarrassed, u did not give yourself something, the dude did if u did catch anything. However, the doctors r happy to see us when we come early on becuase it gives them a chance to help u get better rather than waiting & it builds into something they have no clue that it is & then they feel dumb like how the heck do l cure this.

Do you think they have never seen a gynecological problem before? Do not you know that ALL DAY LONG they see patients with problems EXACTLY like you describe? Why on earth would you not go? Sheesh.

BV needs to be treated with prescribed medicine so l really doubt Hydrogen Peroxide did the trick.

The doctor will need to see u after the bleeding calms down, gushing blood from a period can be normal. It is abnormal if u r going through a pad an hour or a tampon an hour for four hours or more. Not sure why u would not see a doctor if u bled for 5 months, but u need to see the gynecologist to be given medicine to help stop the bleeding if it is out of control. You need to take care of ur body by visiting a doctor as soon as u feel & see something wrong.

My dear you really need to visit the Gynecologist, many people have many different reactions on the depo, but you have to make sure what kind of side effects you can have, so please ASAP,. go to the Doctor, is not normal all what you feel , really if you do not put a solution to that, will become very hard and maybe can ended in something very tragical......please take care!!!!!!!!!!!
