how can i get tired sooner

l am always up till 3am no matter what time l get up in the morning.. any tips on how to get sleepy sooner?
l guess l askedthe wrong question. l am tired all day, then at night BOOM im awake, it sucks cause l have college! uggg.

Do not eat or drink late into the evening, especially not coffee or tea. The most important thing is to keep a regular schedule. Try not to be waking up at 7 one day and then 10 the next. Your body gets confused.

Also, minimize the number of distractions you have after, say, midnight. Turn off the computer, go to your bedroom and read some school work or a book.

Read up on Delayed Phase Sleep Syndrome. There are lots of suggestions on how to reset your internal clock out there.

l know, it sounds like some silly made up thing. It is basically science is explanation for why night owls are night owls.

Exercise or play. Do things during the day to get ur energy out. Take the dog for a walk, ride a bike to the library. Whatever u can do to get those sugars used up. You will be tired, get better sleep, digest food better, & be healthier. Also, take a look at ur diet. Do u drink a lot of pop or coffee? Do u have a high caffeine intake? Make sure you're not eating too much sugar or salt & keep up on the good stuff like fruits & veggies. l am always too tired, & my doctor recommends to take iron. Maybe u have too much iron?

You might try drinking tea before bed, something with honey in it, l hear works wonders. Read a book & GO to bed before 3, do not wait til u get tired to finally hit the sack.
