It will come back if you return to a normal body weight.

It can come back; yet the chances of having a child in your future may or may not happen.

Yeah this does happen sometimes. Or it could be because you are not eating enough. Or it could be because you are overly active.
If you get too concerned, ask your doctor.

See your GYN. The doctor might be able to put you on something to induce a period. And they can also check if everything is ok gynecologically.

Your period should come back after u gain the appropriate amount of fat tissue. Estrogen is stored in the fat tissue & if you're underweight, ur body will be unable to go through the normal cycles. As long as nothing traumatic happens & there is nothing abnormal (i.e. cysts, cancer, etc.) then it will come back. It is important that a girl experiencing this gains the weight back because the lack of estrogen not only halts menstruation but can also lead to early osteoporosis (the bones become porous because of a lack of osteoblast activity) & that is the part that tends to be irreversible.

Hi, it has never happened to me either but l have been in discussions regarding this subject and Yes, when the body weight gets back to what the body percieves to be sufficient to maintain a pregnancy, periods will start again.

yes it will come back. it just means that you need to gain weight because your body cannot function normally.

It is common for people who r underweight to lose their periods. Your body is rationalization is: ''If l am not getting enough food to keep one person healthy, then l am DEFINITELY not going to be able to support a person & a growing baby!'' So the fertility switch turns off.
it may be because u have lost weight recently once ur body has adjusted to ur new weight, it will require fewer calories to function. Although this may seem like a betrayal, it is actually a mechanism to prevent starvation.
Just Speak to a doctor

Wow. l was amazed looking at all of the ''you're pregnant'' . That may not be the case. If you're worried about pregnancy, get a pregnancynancy test & take it. However, the more likely thing is that you're underweight. Being underweight or extremely overweight can cause ur period to disappear for months at a time until ur body gets back to normal. The best thing for u to do would be to see ur OB/GYN or just ur regular doctor to ask about this, as none or very few of us actually have medical degrees.
Do not worry too much about it. Once u get back to a normal weight, ur period WILL COME BACK! You've just got to get healthy again.
