Ive taken amoxicillin before and it gave me a yeast infection, is there an antibiotic that WONT cause a yeast infection, or when l do take a antibiotic can l take acidophiles with it at the same time?

If u r prone to yeast infections, then there is no antibiotics that wo not cause them.

What happens is antibiotics kill bacteria, & they do not discriminate against what parts of ur body they will trigger. So the good bacteria in ur vagina r killed along the bad ones that make u sick. Result: yeasts in the vagina, that were already there, now have the whole place for themselves & thrive.

Eating more probiotic foods like yogurt can help in reducing the effects, but while some women never get yeast infections when they r on antibiotics ( l never have), others just always get them no matter the antibiotic (like my mother).

l used to get a yeast infection every time l took antibiotics. It sucked! but then my doctor told me to take ''acidophilus'' along with the antibiotics, and l never got one again. Over the counter, just ask your pharmacist.
