l am young: l have only been having periods for two years.My periods are regular and last 2-4 days.Also, l have a white/clear discharge for a week or more before my period begins, this always occurs.

l do not knwo why you're complaining.alot of woman would kill for a short, cramp free period! You better be grateful

l did not get cramps until l was 16, and l first got my period when l was 12. l think it is normal.

Lucky you, but in a few years you might get some cramping. l got my period when l was 12 and a few years later l got the usual cramps. Then when l was 15 or 16 l got really bad period pain and have only just found ways to ease it. l am not saying that will happen to you. 10% of women have horrible pain, while the other 90% just get cramps. And it is just an uncomfortable feeling. Sometimes the pain can get worse.
2-4 days with discharge a week before sounds normal.

Some woman do not get cramps, based on the length of your period you are a light bleeder, some woman bleed for up to 10 days.
The discharge is normal, it is your bodies natural cervical mucus. If you are worried head to GP.

Cramps are the bodies reaction to the walls of the uterus contracting to release the lining of blood. If you do not have cramps it means that the contractions of your muscles simply are not causing you pain. Also not all uterus is contract with the same intensity, if that makes sense.

What makes u think u should be getting cramps?
Cramps r caused by hormones called prostaglandins, these trigger the muscles of the uterus to contract & squeeze the lining out. The muscles r the same ones that push a baby out during childbirth, so they r very strong. Some women may have higher levels of prostaglandin’s & this is thought to be what causes painful muscle spasms in some women. Menstruation does not equate period pains for everyone, for the vast majority of people cramps r totally avoidable, it is just they lack the basic understanding of their bodies to know how to avoid cramps - attitude is also a big influence, social taboos surrounding menstruation create a negative attitude to menstruation which is known to increase cramping, so too can emotional problems such as stress.

You will always have discharge, it is ur vagina is way of flushing out excess bacteria from ur vagina, it is just this changes throughout ur menstrual cycle as hormones in ur body change.
