l started getting the gardasil shots but l heard the other day if you start to get them after you have already been sexually active they dont have any affect for you.

they will work as long as you do not already have HPV.. the shot has nothing to do with how much sex you've had.. if you do not have HPV, then the shots will help you not get it

That shot is bad news and has not been tested long term. Ive heard of people dying from it and getting sick. It is just a marketing ploy, i'd never get that shot.

Unless you already have HPV, you will be fine. And just because it does not work for some people, does not mean it wo not work for others.

Gardasil vaccinates against four types of human papilloma viruses. If u already have a strain, u can still get others, so receiving the vaccination will only protect u against the ones u do not already have.

The vaccine prevents the strains that cause 70% of cervical cancers & 90% of genital warts. l think most people would believe that these r worth preventing.

All vaccines have negative side effects, & people have mixed feelings about getting any shots. As with anything, do ur research.

As someone else wrote, Merck believes the shot is effective so long as u have not already been exposed to the types of HPV virus it protects against. Many people have concerns about this vaccine, & particularly whether it is appropriate for young teen girls, or should instead be given at an older age.
