Sorry if this sounds horrible, but just thought l would ask!

My last period started on 07/10/08 and lasted about 6 days. l get my period every 26 to 28 days (it varies a little). l have had unprotected sex for the past 2 weeks, as me and my partner are trying for a baby. This week l have noticed a lot more discharge, which started off white, but has now gone to a bright yellow/light greeny colour. It does not hurt, itch or anything like that, but l could feel it coming out, so rushed to the toilet to find out what it was. (The colour varies and l have not seen any of the green stuff for a few hours)
l also keep getting shooting pains in my lower stomach, vagina area, and sometimes a feeling like it is really heavy down there, and there is loads of pressure.

If sperm has been inside a vagina for a week, would this come out an unusual colour?

l DO NOT have any STD is and neither does my boyfriend as we were both tested before we started having sex.

In the evening l keep getting hot and cold flushes, and l seem to be going for a wee a lot more than normal, l have also noticed my sense of smell seems to be getting stronger.

Could it be that l am pregnant or something else?

My period is not due to start until next Friday so it is obviously too early to do a pregnancy test, and l wont be able to get a doctors appointment for a few weeks.

Before my period l always get stomach aches and last time l didn't, it just started really heavy with no warning. (do not now if this means anything)

Please do not write stupidas l only want sensible, serious ones.

There is a chance that you may be pregnant, but l have not really heard of getting discharge of that colour. Perhaps you may have a vaginal infection such as thrush? If it is really bothering you, make an appointment with your GP to get it checked out even if you're not getting a pregnancy test done yet.

If your discharge is green-sh, there is no doubt that you have an infection( not an std type)

An infection would cause you pain in this area too.

Best to see a doctor.

This happened to my g/f & its nothing to worry about.
Its an infection called ''Trichomoniasis'' & a course of antibiotics will cure it. Its very common. Here is what it says on the net ..

Trichomoniasis is caused by a protozoan (a kind of parasite) called Trichomonas vaginalis. This parasite is transmitted during sex.

The characteristic symptom of trichomoniasis infection is a heavy, frothy, yellow-green, fishy-smelling discharge from the vagina. The infection can also cause discomfort during sex, vaginal itching, pain when passing urine & occasionally stomach pains. However, up to half of women with trichomoniasis do not have any symptoms.

Trichomoniasis can sometimes get better without any treatment but antibiotic treatment with metronidazole cures up to 95 percent of women. Symptoms r less common in infected men, so male partners should also be treated.
