O.K so my period is pretty light so l use the lowest absorbency tampons, and l leave them in for about 8 hours. It hurts to take them out because the tampon is too dry. l can not use a less absorbency because l have the lowest absorbency. So my question is can l leave the tampon in longer, so it does not hurt to take out??

If you leave your tampon in for more than 8 hours, it could cause TSS (toxic shock syndrome). Read the box.

nooo it is not safe no matter what absorbency. on those days wear pads so there wo not be any trouble

l wouldn't, if your period is not heavy then do not use a tampon at all. Use a really light pad with no wings or anything.

NO 8 hrs is long enough.You could get Toxic Shock Syndrome. l know if they hurt going IN then u can coat the tip w/ Vaseline- but dont leave them in any longer then 8 hrs-Either dont use one at all at those times or pull it out realllll slow-
